Nice shoe
Just got my shoes. These are true to size, but, they are definitely narrow and low volume. So if you have narrow and or flat feet (as I do), these are the perfect shoe for you. Seem to be pretty comfortable, but will update after logging some miles.

Finally, First Road Shoe
I had been using Specialized BG Comp mountain shoes for collegiate racing for the last year until I switched to these bad boys. I think that they're very reasonably priced for something, to me, is exactly the same as the top of the line Zxelliums. The black color was another selling point for me as well. They look like a vintage road shoe. Very classic and versatile; doesn't scream for attention like the hot yellow Zxelliums. Fit was a bit tight on my left foot for a while, but I've since broken them in and now both sides feel great. No hot spots. I went with a size 11, for reference, I typically wear a size 10.5 - 11 casual shoe and my old Specialized BG Comps are size 45. So if you know your size in Specialized, that's a good comparison. I feel that the straps and ratchet have enough adjustability for my somewhat narrow feet. The velcro straps up front have two different positions, the tighter of the two being plenty to really cinch them down. The ratchet seems to me to have a little too much extra length though. It's good for very "tall" feet, however, I near the end of the strap and it tends to stick out from the side of the shoe. Overall though, I do not regret this purchase at all. They look great, are stiff and fit well.

Very Nice
I got these a few weeks ago. Weather has been cold so not much outside riding, but have had them on the trainer. They feel light, but stiff. True to US size for my 12's.

Great shoes
I'm NOT a racer, just a hobby/health rider; not competitive. I bought a pair of the Zxellium Ultimates a few months back and really like those shoes a lot. Those are all black, causing me to worry about heat in the summer months. I spotted some of the white/black Pro's on BT for under a bill and figured I get a backup/summer pair of shoes. I can't believe the quality of shoe for the price. There's only a hand full of differences that I can see between the Pro Road and the Zxellium Ultimates. 1) The Pro's don't have a shoe bag... no big deal. 2) The Pro's have a normal detached tongue (like most tennis shoes), and the Zxellium Ultimate's tongue is only detached on one side; the end result is that Pro is easier to get on and off IMO. 3) The material seems a little harder or more plastic like on the Zxellium. 4) The strap nearest the toe does not have as much adjustability in the Pro model as the Zx Ult. 5) A HUGE weight difference of, get ready: 7-8 grams per shoe with full hardware installed (by my scale). If someone was deciding between the ZX, ZX Ultimate, or the Pro Road, I would get the Pro Road hands down. That is, unless that someone is a racer and real competitive; I don't know how important the 16 grams would be.

Amazing; seriously
I'm stunned at how good these shoes are. I got lucky and nabbed a black 10.5 from BT. First of all, they look awesome. Second, they feel great on my feet during rides; nice and form fitting w/ no hotspots. Third, these are my first carbon sole (upgraded from a Specialized shoe); they feel so much stiffer under my feet. I didn't realize what I was missing. Not sure if they really make me any faster or not but they definitely make you feel faster. If they have your size, get them in whatever color is available.

Excellent Shoe
These Mavic shoes are excellent. I can feel the difference of power transfer compared to my old Specialized Pro shoes.

great shoes
Got a pair of these from Bonktown about a week ago and did 60 mi in them on Sunday. These are the most comfortable shoes I've had so far, they're like wearing slippers to ride in (but with a read stiff soles). Highly recomended (unless you have wide feet, then they might be a little snug).

Kinda sleazy...
Mavic Pro Road Shoe - Men's "From $179..." and there is exactly one obscure size at that price. Just tell it like it is. There is enough B.S in the world.

Good fit for narrower feet
My feet are a tad narrow, between a C and D, and most shoes required me to really crank down the straps to the point where most of the strap was hanging off the side of the shoe. These are the first shoes that really fit right. If you feet are a bit narrow, these are worth a try.

Nice Shoes!!
Not much too say, other than this is a great pair of shoes. Ordered a 10.5, per the sizing chart, and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable, not hot-spots, or weird feeling ares within the shoe. Speedplay cleats bolted right up, and the grid helps align the cleats symmetrically for both shoes. Nice venting, don't even notice they're on my feet most of the time, and that's pretty good for living in the AZ desert! The insole, and padding around the opening is nice, too.
